When it comes to video games, we often talk about how long they are. But in my review of "Mullet MadJack" — the over-the-top, cyberpunk sci-fi arcade first-person shooter on a timer — I talk about how sometimes shorter is better...

❤️‍🩹 Australian man survives 100 days with artificial heart in world-first success
—The Guardian

「 The BiVACOR total artificial heart, invented by Queensland-born Dr Daniel Timms, is the world’s first implantable rotary blood pump that can act as a complete replacement for a human heart, using magnetic levitation technology to replicate the natural blood flow of a healthy heart 」

Check out this *amazing* review of Cold Wind Blowing. It can be really hard to get up and keep writing in the current political era, but this kind of feedback is what makes it worth it.

"I loved this novella. From the very first image of agent Julius Weaver stepping down into the slums to meet other agents before the crime scene, Leunig creates a high tech/low life world that is oddly melancholy and beautiful while still being garishly oppressive and even violating in its corporate consumerism."

Sign up for an author's newsletter, get a free book. Includes my nano-bio-cyberpunk thriller 'Biodigital,' about brain-hacking nanobots, an evil-genius Silicon Valley would-be messiah & the cult of fanbois who venerate him. I wrote it in 2012 but it eerily anticipates Musk, neuralink, DOGE, etc.
