So, no surprise, Soderburgh is blaming the audience for the poor reception of his new film 'BLACK BAG.' He said that audiences don't want new original stories anymore...

..checks his IMDB

Let me correct that.. the guy who most recently directed the 'Magic Mike' franchise is complaining people don't want to see his shitty movies. 🙄

If you're feeling anxious, and who among us isn't, I prescribe Margreth Olin’s SONGS OF EARTH (2023).

It's part nature documentary, part memoir of her elderly father and the Norwegian valley that is his ancestral home.

Stunningly beautiful, calming, healing. Streaming on Criterion Channel + Kanopy (free with a library card).

Movie theater attendance in France grew in 2024 — one of the few countries that saw an increase.

And it’s likely to surpass pre-pandemic levels by next year.

The French public’s relationship to movie theaters is "almost mystical,” a research analyst said.

Okay everyone, calm down. It's happening, but we don't know the details yet. Yes, Sadie Sink is in the MCU, but who is she playing? She's debuting in a Spider-man film, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to the multiverse of the MCU. She could be an MJ variant, she could be Tobey McGuire Spider-man's daughter, she could be Gwen Stacy, she could be Jean Grey for all we know. Let the speculation begin!! 😎

Follow up from my recent post:

What's your preferred monochrome film stock, and, more specifically why?

Obviously include a photo if you have one readily handy!

A current favorite of mine is #IlfordXP2
Specifically because it shoots at ISO400 but has the grain appearance inline with an ISO200 film. Has that same semi-baked contrast I like without being too much. A great everyday #35mm #film.
