Long post, seemingly lost media, the power of the internet, community and knowledge
So, as a kid, from 2008 when I first got a TV in my room until around 2013 or 2014, I used to loved to listen to the ITV Nightscreen music tracks that would play during the mainly visual late night show. Starting way back in 2017 or so, I started to look for these tracks as a nostalgia trip. For the next *6 years*, I turned the world wide web upside down, inside out, every which way but the right way, watching YouTube videos, searching through forums, asking around on sites like Twitter and Reddit, repeatedly failing, giving up and trying again a while later. But last night, I *finally* managed to find 6 out of the 7 tracks I originally listened to on ITV1, plus some stuff from ITV2 as well... and all it took was a single Discord message to 1 person!
The moral of this story? If you talk to the right people who have the right amount of knowledge, you can solve any problem.

In case anyone else just happens to be looking for these tracks, the ones I found after 6 years of searching are now available here https://www.seedy.gq/soundhouse/Nightscreen-2008-2012.zip #2000s #ITV #ITV1 #ITV2 #Nightscreen #ITVNightscreen #UKTV

@seedy Here's a collection of nightscreen tracks I'd often capture digitally from my sky box, and would edit them out later. But this is a huge collection of all sorts of tv-related things I've recorded over the years. Adverts, bloopers etc. Maybe some more goodness in here for you perhaps. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/z2dfn9gjmlyfjk1/AAAea1BEBMIRTGo7aXHlxaBea?dl=0

@FreakyFwoof Do you recognise any of the ones I linked to?

@seedy I will have to listen. I don't recall particular tracks or anything like that myself, but there were definitely things I liked. I just wanted them to add to the collection because I liked them, but I never actually researched where any of them came from.
