Scott Jenson<p>I've been tinkering with a "GIST Checklist" for a few months as a means of making smaller, more day to day product changes. It's not complicated: just a checklist of all the things experienced <a href="https://social.coop/tags/UX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>UX</span></a> designers already do. The point is to be more transparent and collaborative with the broader product team so they understand the "gist" of the problem at hand.</p><p><a href="https://jenson.org/smallplanet/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">jenson.org/smallplanet/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a><br><a href="https://social.coop/tags/PM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PM</span></a> <a href="https://social.coop/tags/productmanagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>productmanagement</span></a></p>

George Baily<p>Workplace <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/productmanagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>productmanagement</span></a> observation: "technical debt" can often be used as a euphemism for "debt from not having analysed and specified something properly in the first place". The "tech" in tech debt makes it sound like people made conscious rational tradeoffs of quality in how they built it... whereas perhaps instead, the problem was that the "it" the team was building was not the correct / complete thing that was needed by the customer in the first place.</p>

I'm great at leading teams or programs, translating between engineers and product and leadership. I build teams and processes that fit the long term business needs while minimizing overhead, not just following the latest framework. </p><p>I'm looking to move to <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/deutschland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>deutschland</span></a>, specifically <a href="https://toot.cat/tags/berlin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>berlin</span></a>, been planning it for a few years but could use some help getting referrals or just connecting on LinkedIn in case we end up in the same circles.</p><p>Working on learning German (~A2) but will probably need an English speaking first role.
