So I have StraightTalk. And here lately, I've been getting 0 to 1 bar of phone signal. Calls go to Voicemail without me even getting a ring, all that. So I turn on and off Airplane mode, all that. This is with my iPhone SE 2020. If I upgrade to the new iPhone 16, do y'all think that would improve?

@pixelate I have no idea about StraightTalk, but in general, the iPhone SE's radios have always sucked compared to every other iPhone, for whatever reason.
Four phones in my house in the same room, on the same carrier, two were SE2's, which got no signal. The other two were an iPhone 12 and 13, which got two bars each.

@BorrisInABox Hmmmnumnum, yeah. Definitely gonna upgrade then. And maybe then my AirPods won't glitch ever second or so on Facetime calls and such. Ugh, I hate that.

@jstark Oh, well that's not good.

@pixelate @jstark I’d be more inclined to believe Patrick that, yes, it would actually improve your signal to upgrade. Plus you’ll have access to 5G which is quite good if you live in a city, especially the download speeds. Around here anyway, Upload still needs a lot of help. I have the SE 2022 and I get faster UL speed on LTE.

@pixelate I use Tello. I've always had great service with them as they run Team Mobile's towers.

@pixelate Does turning on wifi calling help this situation while your at home?

@khronos I thought I had Wi-fi calling on, but I'll make sure. I was definitely at home when the latest thing happened.

@pixelate There also use to be cell phone booster devices that you could get from your provider that would allso your phone to attach too and the other side connected to your internet. I don't know if smaller providers have this feature or not though. It might be limited to the big 3.
