Okay y'all, Retroarch is now accessible on iOS! You *will* need a keyboard or gamepad to play and use the user interface. PSP games work great though! Just download all the core updates and needed core files for PPSSPP, if you plan on playing PSP games, and you're good! #accessibility #RetroArch #blind #blindGaming #emulation #emulators #gaming #iOS Link to the App Store page: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6499539433
Now, should I put it up on Applevis? Hmmm. Probably should.
@pixelate OK, whoa! How do you load roms and isos onto the phone though?
@stirlock Using the files app. Just put them in Retroarchs downloads folder.
@pixelate oh man. I gotta play dissidia on the phone now haha
@stirlock Dissidia is my favorite! Also you can still use screen recognition in the game.
@pixelate omg! that's amazing! I gotta find my ps4 controller
@pixelate Just have been taking a look at this. I had to reinstall the app, because it did not enable accessibility until I removed the app and reinstalled it. Is there controls that you can use the touchscreen? I’ll connect my Bluetooth keyboard soon to check this out.
@serrebi No, no touch screen controls yet. Well, if you're in a game, then yes, but in menus, no.
@pixelate as someone who was never able to play mainstream video games, this is really intriguing. thanks for sharing.
@pixelate Awesome! I was wondering why voiceover wasn’t working while I was trying to explore by touch. No I know why.
@Ryok141 Yeah, sorry. Not sure how we'd get accessibility mode to work with the touchscreen. But they're really good about answering Github and Discord.
@13xforever @pixelate blind folks are not always afforded that privlege of using alternative apps at wil because of accessibility reasons. Sometimes it's you use one app or nothing at all.
