@TimDixon82 When I first lost my sight I tried using Orcam to read bedtime stories but I found it tricky as you need a good, bright source of light for it to be accurate which isn’t the best thing at bedtime. In the end, before I could read Braille wellEnough, I used a tip I got from other VI Mums which is to use RNIB pen friend audio dots, one for each page and get someone sighted to record the words, leaving silence between sentences, and then I put headphones on and repeated out loud what I heard. That worked brilliantly as I could then read his favourite Thomas the Tank Engine and Mr Men to him in the dark!
